lt's building dating
back to the reign of King Sancho the second,
(l240-1246) constitutes like S. Francisco of
Estremoz, the oldest example of Franciscan
architecture in Portugal.
It's being rebuilt, as it happened before during
the reign of King Fernando, remaining nowadays
part of the church and the cloister.
The portic facing west has in both sides four
re-entram columns.
The church is divided in three naves, separated
by columns of ogival arches.
It's an architecture masterpiece.
